This is a raised relief 3D unframed map of the island of Gran Canaria (belonging to the Canary Islands Archipelago in Spain). It has been built up with several layers of cardstock that have been meticulously laid and pasted by hand allowing the map to recreate the complex, rugged and fascinating terrain of Gran Canaria.
Each layer represents a true elevation contour, in this particular case each of those layers represents a height jump of 100 meters starting with the shoreline at zero meters above the sea.
The map is sold unframed and is set on an A4-sized (Slightly narrower and taller than Letter Size) sheet of anthracite grey cardstock, ready for you to frame.
